For my birthday the husband took me hiking for the day. He wanted to take me somewhere we had never hiked before .
Santa Isabel Perserve West Trail
This amazing trail is located near Santa Isabel California , or better yet right by the cutest town of Julian.
It was the perfect day hike, 6.9 miles. Pretty flat but had 2 good hills, then some shade and even some water. Perfect for us. My 12 year old could have totally done it, too far for my 9 year old daughter. We also saw people on horse back at well.
The best part were the wild cows. So of course I had to do yoga with them. They didn't even move. The mama cows kept their eyes on us till we passed, but didn't budge.
It's hard to see because of the sun glare, but this is baby is drinking his milk from his mama.
There were picnic benches along the way under the gorgeous oak trees. I even heard wild turkeys in the background.
If you live in Southern Cali, I highly recomend this hike.
This mama decided to block the trail!
The app we use to find all our hike is AllTrails
Happy Trails !
